"TOX"
In beauty and dermatology, “tox” is slang for Botox or other botulinum toxin-based products like Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau.

Purpose: Reduce wrinkles and fine lines by temporarily stopping certain facial muscles.

Common areas treated: Forehead, frown lines ("11's" between eyebrows), crow’s feet (around eyes), bunnies (sides of nose), gummy smile, chin, lip flip, underarms (excessive sweating) jawline, neck, masseters (TMJ or to slim jawline), temples (migraines), back of head/neck (migraines)

Procedure: First we go over your concern areas and assessment current muscle movement>Take photos>Cleanse the skin>Make appropriate markings for injection points>Inject with THE TINIEST needles & it's over before you know it!>Apply a calming cream to reduce any redness.

Results: Begin to show in 3–7 days (can take up to 14 days), last 3–4 months on average.

Botox®
Botox is a purified protein derived from Clostridium botulinum - Type A
Typically kicks in around between days 3-7 with a full effect at 2 weeks.
Botox contains an accessory protein which can cause the formation of antibodies, causing a clinical resistance to the product over time. If you feel your Botox treatments aren't lasting as long or you're consistently needing higher doses, let's chat!

Xeomin®
(IncobotulinumtoxinA) Xeomin® was approved for use in 2010 and is manufactured by Merz.
It is the lowest strength of the neuromodulators on the market and is ideal for patients who want to retain some muscle movement.
Xeomin® does not contain the protective proteins that Botox and Dysport do and can therefore be used in patients who have developed BOTOX® resistance. This also means it does not need to be refrigerated and may be slightly more comfortable to have injected because it is stored at room temperature.

Dysport®
Dysport is a purified protein derived from Clostridium botulinum - Type A
Typically kicks in around between days 2-5 with a full effect at 10 days (slightly faster than the others)
Dysport contains an accessory protein which can cause the formation of antibodies, causing a clinical resistance to the product over time. If you feel your Dysport treatments aren't lasting as long or you're consistently needing higher doses, let's chat!
